Loves Park Man Charged In Rockford Hit And Run

ROCKFORD –  A Loves Park man faces charges in a hit and run in Rockford.  Police say Rickie Traeger driving was on East State Street early Tuesday at a high rate of speed when he appeared to intentionally rear-end another vehicle.  After the crash, Traeger exited his car and confronted the driver he had hit before returning to his car and driving off.  A short time later, officers located Traeger’s vehicle on North Mulford Road, and he was taken into custody. WIFR-TV in Rockford reports that  he has operated the website “Rockford Scanner,” which Traeger describes as an “entertainment/informative” website for the area.  When officers searched his vehicle, they allegedly found over 70 pills and suspected cannabis.
