Longtime White Sox Shortstop Tim Anderson Retires

Former American League batting champion Tim Anderson is retiring after ten Major League seasons. The 33-year-old shortstop stepped away from the game today, saying he no longer enjoyed playing.
Anderson spent the first eight years of his career with the Chicago White Sox, earning two All-Star nods and the batting title in 2019. He finished his career with the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Angels.
The White Sox announced plans to honor Anderson at a game next month.
