Leland Police Mourn Death of Officer Serving in Army Reserves

LELAND — The Leland Police Department is mourning the death of Auxiliary Police Officer Anthony T. Miller, who died July 25 while serving with the U.S. Army Reserves in Laredo, Texas. Miller, 24, joined the department in July 2024 and was later deployed with the 346th Military Police Company to the Southwest Border in support of U.S. Border Patrol. He is survived by his parents and sister, and several fellow officers who served alongside him in the same Army unit.
