Illinois Warns of Salmonella Risk in Moringa Powder Capsules

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health is warning consumers about a recall of Rosabella brand moringa powder capsules linked to cases of drug-resistant salmonella. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report seven cases across seven states, including one in Illinois. The recall affects 52 lot codes of the capsules sold in white bottles with green labels and expiration dates in 2027, distributed nationwide through the company website, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shein, and eBay. Consumers are advised not to use the capsules, dispose of or return any affected product, clean surfaces that contacted the capsules, and seek medical attention if they develop symptoms such as fever, dehydration, diarrhea, or vomiting.
