CHICAGO — Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs announced the Illinois Secure Choice retirement savings program will be renamed My Illinois Savings beginning June 15, 2026, as part of a transition that will lower fees and add new technology features for employers and workers. State officials said more than 170,000 workers across Illinois have saved more than $339 million through the program since it launched in 2018. The updated system will include a new online portal, mobile app and payroll integrations with companies including Gusto, Paychex and QuickBooks Online. Vestwell will become the new program manager and oversee daily operations. Frerichs said the changes will make the retirement program easier to use and less expensive for workers saving for retirement.
