SPRINGFIELD — Starting Friday, Illinois residents and non-residents can apply for leftover firearm and muzzleloader deer permits through the third lottery round. Applications are accepted online or by mail through Aug. 16. Group hunt applications are not allowed in this round, and there is no limit on the number of applications submitted.
