CHICAGO – The first lottery for Illinois’ 2026 deer firearm and muzzleloader season runs now through April 30 for state residents. Hunters are limited to one application each. Landowners who received a deer firearm permit are not eligible for the lottery but may apply for a muzzleloader permit.
