Illinois’ Median Income Rises to $115K in 2023, Ranks 19th Nationally

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois’ median personal income for 2023 was $115,000, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau last week. That ranks 19th among all states. Illinois’ ranking is up two spots from 2013 where $79,000 was the median income, but down from ranking 15th in 2021 with the median income of $116,000.
