CHICAGO – Illinois leaders are reacting to the shooting death of conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, who was killed during a speaking event at Utah Valley University. Gov. J.B. Pritzker condemned the attack, calling it horrifying and stressing that political violence should never become the norm. House Minority Leader Tony McCombie called the killing a senseless act of violence and said justice must be swift, while State Sen. Andrew Chesney described the shooting as cowardly and urged the nation to unite in condemning the crime.
