SPRINGFIELD – Illinois officials say they will spend an additional $30 million on the Regional Site Readiness Program, bringing the total amount to $60 million for this round. A statement from Gov. J.B. Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity said the additional funding ensures more regions throughout the state will attract industrial economic development. The awards are part of the governor’s $500 million site readiness initiative for fiscal year 2026.
