Illinois EPA Offers $5 Million for Green Infrastructure Projects

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has announced $5 million in funding for green infrastructure projects to improve water quality across the state. The grants, part of Governor Pritzker’s Rebuild Illinois capital plan, support stormwater management techniques designed to reduce runoff and flooding in rivers, streams, and lakes. Projects using multiple best management practices on public or private land are encouraged. Grant awards range from $75,000 to $2.5 million, with applications due by November 5.
