The law requires that workers on publicly funded construction and infrastructure projects receive pay matching local standards, which include hourly wages and fringe benefits. The update supports local economies by helping ensure public funds benefit Illinois workers and encourage fair competition among contractors. Individuals may file written objections to the new rates through August 14th.
