CHICAGO — Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity announced $5 million in tourism funding through three grant programs focused on Route 66, international tourism, and marketing partnerships. The funding includes $2 million for Route 66 projects, $1 million for international tourism promotion, and $2 million for tourism marketing partnerships. State officials said the grants are intended to support local attractions, events, and destinations and increase tourism across Illinois.
