FORRESTON — Construction on Illinois 72 in Ogle County will begin September 2nd, with work stretching from Illinois 26 in Forreston to Mount Morris Road near Leaf River, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation. The $5.3 million project includes milling and resurfacing with daily lane closures controlled by flaggers, and completion is expected by June 2026, weather permitting.
