FORRESTON — A $5.3 million road project on Illinois 26 in Ogle County will begin Sept. 9, covering the stretch from Willow Street in Forreston to Hillside Drive in Polo. The work will include milling and resurfacing with daily lane closures controlled by flaggers, and is expected to be completed by July 2026, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
