SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is upgrading their campsite reservation system. Reservations for campsites and shelters at Illinois state parks and historic sites will transition to an updated platform on May 1st. Officials say the new system will offer park users a more user-friendly system for making reservations and securing permits. To accommodate the transition, electronic reservations will be unavailable April 27th through the 30th. Existing reservations for customers will automatically migrate to the new platform.
