Huskie Stadium Polar Plunge Set For February 21

DEKALB — Northern Illinois University will host its annual Polar Plunge at Huskie Stadium on Feb. 21 as participants jump into a mobile pool to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois. Each participant must raise at least $100 to take part and receive the official sweatshirt. The event is part of the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run and supports year round sports training and competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Region A Director Katie Risley said, “We’re so excited to be back at Huskie Stadium at NIU, February 21,” and added, “We have such a great partnership and relationship with Northern Illinois University.”
