BYRON – The 34th Annual Hib Reber Memorial Car Show is set for Saturday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the United Church of Byron, 701 W. Second St. in Byron, Illinois. The event will feature 50 awards chosen by participant voting, dash plaques for the first 200 entries, and a 50/50 drawing open to all makes of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Entry is $15 per show car, with proceeds going to Serenity Home & Hospice.
Organizer Darrell Reber said that you will also get a chance to see some local automotive history.
“We’re going to have the car that was at Sam’s Drive-In and the Ambulance from Rockford Speedway in attendance,” he said. “The man who owns them both will be putting them on display.”
