CHICAGO — The Illinois Commerce Commission will hold a public hearing Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin for Northern Illinois Gas Company (Nicor) customers to comment on the utility’s proposed $308.6 million general rate increase, filed in January. The hearing gives customers an opportunity to share how the proposed rate change could impact them before the ICC decides whether the increase is justified. Customers who cannot attend may submit feedback through the ICC website.
