Give DeKalb County Raises Record $2.5 Million For Local Nonprofits

SYCAMORE — The Give DeKalb County 24 hour online giving campaign raised a record more than $2.5 million Thursday to support local nonprofit organizations through online, mail in and in person donations at the DeKalb County Community Foundation in Sycamore. The campaign included 158 funds and organizations and surpassed the previous record of more than $2.1 million set in 2025. Organizers reported 2,800 donors made 8,837 gifts during the event. DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership Director Ben Bingle said results are still being finalized because mail in donations are continuing to come in and a final total is expected within two weeks.

DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership Director Ben Bingle said, “I want to thank our committee, our volunteers, staff members that work alongside this effort, and I also want to thank community partners who have given to the bonus pool, media sponsors who have helped us promote this all year long so far, the many nonprofits who have done an incredible job this year, and the thousands of donors who have supported organizations through Give DeKalb County this year. Thank you so much. We appreciate it.”

The campaign has raised more than $14.3 million since it began.
