SYCAMORE — Give DeKalb County will take place May 7 as a 24 hour online giving campaign encouraging residents to support local nonprofit organizations through online, mail in, and in person donations at the DeKalb County Community Foundation in Sycamore. The campaign is coordinated by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership and has raised more than $12.8 million since its launch, with all contributions increased through a community supported Bonus Pool.
Ben Bingle, director of the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, said, “We have a long list of community partners that are visible at givedekalbcounty.org. That’s where we recognize our bonus pool donors. Really, anyone can give to the bonus pool. If you’re an individual out there and you want to support all of the participating nonprofits, that’s a great option for you.”
Organizers said final totals will be announced after mail in donations are fully processed in the weeks following the campaign.
