Garrett Crochet Signs Massive Contract with the Boston Red Sox

(Boston, MA) — The Boston Red Sox are locking down their ace starting pitcher.
The Red Sox inked left-hander Garrett Crochet to a six-year extension worth 170-million dollars on Monday. The contract kicks in after the 2025 season, and Crochet can opt out of the deal following the 2030 season.
The Red Sox acquired Crochet in a trade with the White Sox during the offseason.
The 25-year-old made his first All-Star Game in 2024, going 6-and-12 with a 3.58 ERA in 32 starts with Chicago. He gave up two runs in five innings in a no-decision during his Red Sox debut last Thursday.
