The 37-year-old hasn’t played in more than two years while he was getting treated for COVID and chronic immune response syndrome. Toews hopes to sign a contract this summer.
The Blackhawks reportedly have moved on from the former team captain, but his hometown Winnipeg Jets could be a fit.
