ROCHELLE — A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for northern Illinois through 10 p.m. Friday, as the National Weather Service warns that heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding. Excessive runoff may cause flooding in rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying or flood-prone areas. Residents near waterways are urged to stay alert and be ready to respond if conditions worsen.
