Flagg-Rochelle Park District Approves Pool and Infrastructure Updates

ROCHELLE – The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District board approved multiple pool and infrastructure projects during its meeting Monday night. Officials approved the purchase and installation of ADA compliant Bozeman stairs for Spring Lake Pool at a cost of $15,400 to improve accessibility at the shallow end. Park District Executive Director Jackee Ohlinger reported that bids were approved for painting the Atwood Park bandshell and the exterior of the recreation center for $13,500 and $22,000, respectively. The board also approved a drainage tile project at Skare Park not to exceed $25,670 and discussed ongoing maintenance work across district parks, including asphalt repairs and parking lot improvements. A proposal to replace a dump truck for the maintenance fleet was reviewed as part of long term equipment planning, with officials noting the current vehicle is more than 20 years old.
