BYRON — Byron Dragway will host its Fourth of July celebration next Thursday with fireworks, jet car races, food vendors, and a 50/50 raffle to support the Byron Fireworks Committee. Gates open at 5 PM, and the jet cars will hit the track before the fireworks show begins at dusk. The event is free to attend and includes free parking.
Jessica Nehring with the Byron Fireworks Committee said this is the third year of the event..
“We’ve had great shows the last two years, and especially last year we had a really good turnout. So I’m excited.”
Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and gather near the grandstands for the best view, as fireworks will launch from a nearby field. Food and ice cream will be available throughout the evening.
