DEKALB — A faulty ceiling exhaust fan sparked a bathroom fire Saturday morning at a four-story apartment building on West Hillcrest Drive, causing about $5,000 in damage, according to the DeKalb Fire Department. Crews evacuated residents and had the fire under control within 20 minutes, with no injuries reported, though one tenant was displaced as firefighters contained the incident to a single unit.
