SYCAMORE – Sycamore has a new top cop. Erik Mahan took the oath yesterday to become the new Chief of Police for the City of Sycamore. With 29 years of law enforcement experience, Mahan previously served as Deputy Chief in St. Charles. A Sycamore Township resident for over 20 years, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University and completed advanced leadership training at Northwestern University.
