CHICAGO — Governor Pritzker is receiving support from an unlikely source. Former Illinois House Republican Leader Jim Durkin has endorsed the Democratic governor over GOP challenger Darren Bailey, saying he can’t be trusted to lead our state. Durkin retired in 2023 after 24 years in the legislature. He has been an outspoken critic of President Trump, who has endorsed Bailey. Pritzker is seeking his third term over the Republican nominee in the general election next month.
