Rochelle Recognizes Public Power Week

ROCHELLE – The City of Rochelle has proclaimed Oct. 4 through 10 as Public Power Week, recognizing Rochelle Municipal Utilities and its role as a community owned, not for profit electric utility. The proclamation highlights RMU’s work providing safe, reliable and affordable electricity to homes, businesses, schools and government agencies while supporting energy efficiency, customer service, environmental protection, economic development and safety awareness. RMU also provides broadband internet service through its community network. The utility has served Rochelle since 1896 and will continue working to provide electricity and other services to local homes and businesses.
