DIXON — Lutheran Social Services of Illinois will host a Drug Takeback Day on Oct. 23 from 2:45 to 5:15 p.m. at Books on First, 202 W. First St. Residents can safely dispose of unused or expired medications. A secure drop box is also available year-round at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, 240 E. Progress Drive, during regular business hours.
