ROCHELLE — A draft strategic plan for the Steward and Caron Roads Industrial Corridor will be presented Monday at Rochelle City Hall, outlining recommendations to guide freight movement, land use, and economic development along a 6.4-mile stretch between Rochelle and the Village of Steward. The plan, developed by the Blackhawk Hills Regional Council with support from Rochelle, Steward, Lee County, Ogle County, and federal funding, addresses transportation safety, congestion, and community impacts while proposing infrastructure, zoning, and sustainability measures to support future industrial growth. The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Rochelle City Hall.
