Dixon To Hold Public Meeting On Transportation Grant Application

DIXON – The City of Dixon will hold a public meeting Wednesday, September 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. at City Hall to discuss its proposed Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program grant application. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at 121 West Second Street. The city plans to apply for the grant to help fund a shared use path extension from Seventh Street and Depot Avenue to Bloody Gulch Road. The program requires a 20% local match for engineering and construction. The city plans to submit the application to the Illinois Department of Transportation on or about October 5. Written comments for the official meeting record must be submitted to City Hall by 4 p.m. September 30.
