Dixon Police Department K9 Vesuc Receives Protective Vest Through Donation

DIXON – Dixon Police Department’s K9 Vesuc has received a bullet and stab protective vest through a donation from Vested Interest in K9s Inc., a nonprofit that provides body armor to law enforcement dogs nationwide. The vest, sponsored by the 2024 Fallen K9 Hero Fundraiser, is embroidered in memory of K9s who served and sacrificed last year. Since 2009, the organization has supplied more than 6,225 vests valued at $6.9 million to K9s in all 50 states. The custom fitted, U.S. made vests weigh four to five pounds and carry a five year warranty.
