GROTON, Conn. — Petty Officer 3rd Class Damien DuBois, a Dixon High School graduate, is training at the Naval Submarine School in Connecticut to become an information systems technician in the U.S. Navy’s submarine force. DuBois joined the Navy in 2024 and is now preparing to support one of the Navy’s three submarine classes: fast-attack, ballistic-missile, or guided-missile. Located at Naval Submarine Base New London, the school provides basic and advanced training for submarine operations. The submarine force, often called America’s “Apex Predators,” plays a key role in national defense with advanced stealth and strike capabilities.
