DIXON — A Dixon man remains missing after entering the Rock River near the Peoria Avenue Bridge early April 14 following a series of alleged harassment incidents and police calls the night before. Authorities said officers initially responded April 13 to Casey’s on West 4th Street for a report of disorderly conduct involving two males accused of sexually harassing a female. Police later returned for a second report involving the same individuals allegedly yelling at another female, after which both fled on foot before one was later located on the bridge and entered the river. Officials said the missing man was identified as London Thomas of Dixon. A search involving more than 70 personnel, seven boats, drones, sonar equipment, and multiple agencies was conducted for nearly 12 hours but was unsuccessful. Thomas has not been located, and authorities said the focus remains on his well-being. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dixon Police Department.
