AMBOY — A Dixon man faces multiple charges after a single-vehicle crash on Route 52 in Amboy early Sunday, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said 20-year-old Amont J. Vinson allegedly was found with purported cannabis, other controlled substances, and a firearm, and reportedly showed signs of impairment. Charges include armed violence, drug and weapon offenses, DUI, and driving while license suspended. He was released under the Illinois SAFE-T Act after a pre-trial hearing.
