DeKalb Woman Cited After Twombly Road Crash

DEKALB — A 32-year-old DeKalb woman was cited for disobeying a stop sign following a two-vehicle crash around 7 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Twombly Road and John Huber Parkway. Deputies from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of an SUV struck another vehicle after failing to stop, causing moderate damage to her vehicle and major front-end damage to the other. The driver of the SUV was transported to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Community Hospital by DeKalb Fire Department paramedics, while the driver of the other vehicle, a 28-year-old woman from Malta, refused transport. The crash remains under investigation.
