DEKALB – DeKalb residents are invited to attend the grand opening of the city’s fourth fire station on Saturday from 10 AM to Noon at 1130 S. Malta Road. The event will include remarks at 10:30 AM and tours of the new facility. The DeKalb City Council approved the construction in July 2023 to help improve emergency response times in the city’s southwest area. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in May 2024, and the station officially began operations on April 11.
