DEKALB — DeKalb District 428 Superintendent Minerva Garcia-Sanchez announced last week she will not renew her contract when it expires in June 2026. She will remain in her role through the end of her contract to help with a smooth transition. Her contract was recently updated to add 278 sick days to her original 15 per year.
