DeKalb Police Investigating Shooting on Eves Circle

DEKALB — DeKalb Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire around 1:30 AM Sunday in the 2200 block of Eves Circle East, where officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds and provided aid until medical crews arrived. A second man at the scene told officers he had called 911 and shot the victim during an altercation. The victim was transported with life-threatening injuries to a hospital in Rockford. Police recovered a firearm from the shooter, who holds a valid FOID card and concealed carry license, and he is cooperating with investigators. The case remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
