DEKALB — The DeKalb Farmers Market will open for the season Thursday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Van Buer Plaza at the corner of Second and Locust streets. Organizers said more than 40 vendors will offer fresh produce, handmade goods, and food items during the opening day event. Live music presented by the Egyptian Theatre is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m., and food trucks will also be on site. The market will accept Link and Link Match benefits to help shoppers purchase items from local vendors.
