DeKalb County To Host Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event In May

DEKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and Arcwood Environmental will host a Household Hazardous Waste Drive on May 16th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, 2200 Pleasant St. in DeKalb, with entry from County Farm Road East, and the event is open to all Illinois residents but requires advance registration at https://DeKalbCountyHealthDeptRecycling.as.me/ along with a confirmation email that must be shown at the site, as officials encourage residents to safely dispose of household hazardous waste to protect the environment and reduce landfill contamination.
