DEKALB – The DeKalb County Health Department will hold a free electronics collection and a separate aerosol, latex paint, and propane tank drop-off on June 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, 2200 Pleasant St. in DeKalb. Open to county residents with proof of address, the electronics event accepts items such as computers, TVs, phones, and small appliances, but excludes large appliances, alkaline batteries, and hazardous materials. The second event, hosted by Flat Can Recycling, allows disposal of labeled aerosol cans, personal care sprays, and small propane tanks, with a fee for latex paint based on container size.
