DEKALB – Dan Carl and Dave Lichamer will be the first members inducted into the new DeKalb County Soccer Hall of Fame in recognition of their decades of service to the local soccer community. Carl will be honored during halftime of the DeKalb County United match on Saturday, July 19, at 5 p.m. at the NIU Soccer Complex, while Lichamer will be recognized during halftime of the team’s 2 p.m. game on Sunday, July 27, at the same location.
John Hall, DeKalb County United President said this was a long time coming
“We’re really excited to launch this new way to recognize some people that have had a big influence in soccer.”
The club invites fans and community members to come out and help celebrate two local legends who helped build the foundation of soccer in DeKalb County.
