SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Community Foundation and the DeKalb County Regional Office of Education are inviting nominations for the 2026 Excellence in Education Awards, recognizing teachers, administrators, and support staff who make a meaningful impact in local schools. Nominations are due by October 31, 2025, and winners will receive a $1,000 award, a plaque, and recognition at a spring 2026 ceremony. Eligible nominees must have at least five years of service in their current district, plan to continue employment next school year, and be active in voluntary community activities. Nomination categories include Pre-K through 12 teachers, administration, and support staff such as aides, custodians, and bus drivers.
