SYCAMORE – Sycamore residents can relive the annual Good Tymes picnic with a free documentary screening at the Sycamore State Theater on March 27 and 28. The picnic, held in the 1970s and 1980s, was a popular community event featuring live music, food, and a commemorative T-shirt. The screenings celebrate the theater’s 100th anniversary and the United States 250th anniversary, with showtimes at 5:30 p.m. Friday and 12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Attendees can share memories and ask questions after each showing. Copies of the documentary will be available for $10, with proceeds supporting the DeKalb County History Center. Preregistration is encouraged at dekalbcountyhistory.org or by calling 815‑895‑5762.
