DEKALB – The DeKalb County Health Department has released a schedule for upcoming Naloxone training sessions at several local libraries. These brief, 20-30 minute sessions are designed to teach community members how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose, providing essential lifesaving skills.
The upcoming training dates and locations include:
- Sycamore Public Library: Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM
- Somonauk Public Library District: Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM
- DeKalb Public Library: Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM
Participants will learn how to use Naloxone, a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
