GENOA — Russell Woods Forest Preserve will host a Stream Ecology event on August 27 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Attendees can explore the river ecosystem with water shoes or observe from the shore while learning about the life found in streams. If weather forces a cancellation, updates will be provided on the DeKalb County Forest Preserve District’s Facebook page. Preserves remain open daily for year-round discovery.
