SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Community Foundation has established the Hinckley Community Endowment Fund in memory of Michael Constant, a longtime community leader and foundation board member who died in May. The fund will provide permanent grant support to organizations in Hinckley, with preference for those based in the village, continuing Constant’s legacy of service and commitment to his hometown. Constant served 20 years as a village trustee and on planning boards, and helped start the Harvesting Our Future initiative. Initial memorial contributions have established the fund, and additional donations are being accepted to support local projects.
